Roosevelt Elk
As legendary as the black bear, Vancouver Island's monstorous Roosevelt Elk grow to epic proportion. The Island's elk population is on a strong growth trend and recently Vancouver Island Guide Outfitters received 3 of the coveted tags. Boone and Crockett bulls 300 or better are the objective.
Hunts are 10 days during the end of the rut in early October. Bulls are still bugling and usually with the cows. This can be a strenous hunt and hunters should be ready for lots of hiking and glassing. Elk hunts can be combined with Deer and Black Bear for a mixed bag hunt.
We are offering our final Roosevelt tag for a $10,000 hunt fee and a $10,000 trophy fee. You can also take an Island black bear for $3,000 and a complimentary Columbia blacktail deer for no charge!
Here are a few pics caught on the trail cam last year. This young bull is strutting his stuff!
